Nathom Si Thammarat

Ok... so i stayed in Krabi for 10 days.. the longest time I have stayed anywhere since Canada. This morning I have officially decided I was leaving :(. I needed to see a little more Thailand. The problem was I couldn't decide where to go. I didn't want to see another beach... I wanted a little more culture.

To make things simple, enjoyed the last of my morning in Krabi town then took the local bus to the bus station 4km outside of town. The local bus tuktuk guy try to charge me double... i am smarter than that, but its funny for the Korean women that were in the bus with me did pay the asked price. My lady at the guesthouse advised me on the REAL price. I miss that women already.

Being random as I am... I decided to not make a decision and just take the bus leaving the bus station first. So here I am in Nathom Si Thammarat. Its a east coast city, where not many people speak English, but they are AMAZINGLY friendly. I tried to go to the National Museum but that is closed Monday and Tuesday and apparently today is Monday. But when I tried to walk around the build a sweet Thai lady stopped me and invited me into her office. I now have more tourist info that I need. :P She did speak excellent English and was so cute. I now had a little time to waste so i am in the process of walking back to the center of town. On the way... I passed a school where I copied 3 young girl in getting bubble tea for 5 baht. They were sooo amused by the crazy white women. And about 5 mins later 2 different school aged girls separately grabbed my hand and shook it. One kissed my hand too. It put the biggest smile on my face. Wow. And everyone I see smiles... some say hi or Sawidee(ka/Krap). It could be the fact that I haven't yet seen a western person. They are all the smart ppl at the beach... I just have to be the crazy one that is trying to be different. So I am going to chill tonight and tomorrow then I have to head north. My visa runs out in 4 days.

Later

at girl alisha. Random bus picking is a wicked idea. Seems it worked out. at worst you'd still end up somewhere you hadn't been before. besides cheaper in non touristy areas. When you said apparently monday I assume that means you have no clue what day of the week it is. good on ya one more :P Love ya lots sis
